Some of our devices, (notably all of them switches), report a "last Day" availability of "N/A". My question is, how should "N/A" be interpreted? Some switches have no known downtime and are N/A, while other test switches are purposely disconnected and also show N/A. Does N/A mean that there has been no change in the given period?
A small test showed that a test switch, when left off for 24 hours, gave availability of N/A for "last Day". Once this switch was turned on, N/A turned into a percentage.
Shouldn't the availability always be a percentage?
N/A should be interpreted as "Data Not Available", i.e. NAV has no availability data to give you.
That being said, as we discussed on IRC, there seems to be a bug here that makes it say "N/A" when availability in the period is in fact 100.0%. If you would file this as a bug on Launchpad, we will look into it.
