How patch points works?

Release notes for 4.5 states that "Information about patch points is now also displayed on each port's ipdevinfo page". I created in Seed DB a new cabling and than a patch to connected to device port but in ipdevinfo page I can't see nothing. Please how patch points works? Tahnk you
