This might be a guess, but try editing the file /usr/local/nav/lib/python/nav/web/__init__.py Now cut out the line "import nav.web.auth" and paste it again inside "def headerparserhandler" right above the line "import state". i sent an email on the mailing list yesterday with an error. Seems someone has had the error before, but it's in Norweigan. I don't know why its giving this error, in the python I can import the module nav.web.auth. However I cannot import nav.web.auth.authenticate, it says that the module doesn't exist. How to fix? traffic map / configuring vlan

I Routers will only show up in the traffic map once the links between them have been discovered. This process should be automatic with no extra configuration required as long as the NAV background processes are running (the getDeviceData process does the actual data collection). If you go to the 'Report' tool and select the 'Prefix' report, are your VLANs listed? Links between routers should be of nettype 'link' and the number of router ports ('antgw' column) should be 2. -- Kristian

I think that it may be that my vlan is not configured right in nav (since I haven't done any config for it), but I haven't found any instructions on how to do that, and the web interface says that it cannot be configured manually. Is there a config file that I can change so that nav will show my network in the traffic map? Python encoding problem

I installed and configured everything. When I run "/usr/local/nav/bin/nav start" it compains about the encoding on line 2 of the file. /SyntaxError: no codec search functions registered: can't find encoding" /Any help will be appreciated.
