Add few more snmp counters to monitor

Hi All, i have few oid's counters(dot3) that can give me indication on physical infrastructure shown below My question is there possibility to add it to Nav as check monitor ? I have sinned: I have done some patching and upgrading. NAV 4.2.6 FreeBSD 10.2 Upgraded from gammu-1.33.0_1 to gammu-1.36.8. In this version the python bindings is separated into its own library: py27-gammu-2.4. Something in the new version makes the dispatcher fail to recognize that the sms is successfully sent: [2016-01-29 14:25:17,799] [INFO] [pid=83042 nav.smsd] Found 1 unsent message(s) for 12345678. [2016-01-29 14:25:27,287] [WARNING] [pid=83042 nav.smsd.dispatcher] GammuDispatcher failed to send SMS: Returned false. [2016-01-29 14:25:27,288] [INFO] [pid=83042 nav.smsd] Setting delay to 45 seconds. The sms is indeed sent and the receiver gets 4 identical sms-es. post installation question

Gents - first, thank you for an awesome tool to help manage the network. I recently did a fresh install of Debian and installed the NAV packages (including graphite). However, when we are adding our devices, they are all coming back with NO PORTS FOUND, or NO POWER SUPPLIES, NO FANS, etc. I am not seeing any logs in the /var/logs/nav area, so I am not sure what is really happening here. I have tried searching through the mail-list, but so far, I am not finding any possible suggestions or clues. When I evaluated the virtual appliance, this seemed to work quite well. (I wasn't able to get the virtual appliance to migrate to our production environment). Would someone be so kind as to point me in a direction that may help me troubleshoot this? Thank you! It comes error message when I setting thresholds rules, on Interface Octets ? Running NAV 4.3.3 Get error in file /var/log/nav/thresholdmon.log [WARNING nav.thresholdmon] did not find any matching values for rule u'nav.devices.10_10_11_1.ports.Te1_1_12.ifOutOctets' >8 Some one idea ?? No access to download

Hello, I am trying to download NAV appliance, but access is denied: "You don't have permission to access /static/appliance/stable/ navappliance.tar.gz on this server." https://nav.uninett.no/static/appliance/stable/ Where can i download latest appliance? Best regards Andri Vork

Announcement: NAV 4.4.1 released

The first maintenance release of the NAV 4.4 series is now out. The source code is available for download at Launchpad [1]. New packages for Debian Wheezy and Jessie have been published in our APT repository [2] as usual (and the virtual appliance is being updated). The initial 4.4 series release of NAV is now out. The source code is available for download at Launchpad [1]. New packages for Debian Wheezy and Jessie is published in our APT repository [2] as usual. The virtual appliance will be updated shortly. Changes ======= NAV 4.4 now requires Django 1.7. Unfortunately, Django 1.7 was obsoleted in December, but since we mainly target Debian stable (Jessie), security fixes will be backported by Debian to Django 1.7 for a long time to come. (If you are still running Debian Wheezy, you can obtain python-django 1.7 from the official wheezy-backports repository). ArnoldTrigger Project

Hi All, I just uploaded my latest project Arnold related ArnoldTrigger <https://github.com/tbaror/ArnoldTrigger>, this project is TCP client agent/server based ,that is basically triggered upon in our case Symantec clients infection. This need is came out of need to make sure that clients are well cleaned in case of infection and make sure isolated from network until we make sure its well cleaned. In current version we have the client query the infection event confiured in "js" file and sends json format ssl encrypted with pre-configured key authenticated to server , when authentication is completed the server send "start_arnold" ip with date+machine name file inside Machine IP, and the machine is sent to quarantine preconfigured profile that we set. we are working now on two major features autocleaning module , and Firewall (pfsense) snort events to Arnold. Arnold IP not found

Hello and Happy holdiays All, I have issues with Arnold feature there some IP's that not getting into quarantine profile, when other corresponding in same Vlan will get into quarantine profile. With same problematic IP's when i am trying to get them into manual quarantine they are not found , in other hand when using the Machine Tracker feature i am able to track down port switch and change Vlan assignment. Any idea how to sync between main Nav db and Arnold db , or did i missed some configuration ? Please advice Thanks -- Tal Bar-or
