NAV with Cisco 3850

Hi, we have a 3850 Stack with 3x ES-C3850-48T-S and 5x WS-C3850-12X48U. When we try to PortAdmin and edit a Port we get (see also attached Jpg): „IP device found but has no type“ Any ideas? PortAdmin - save changes in HP 5130 switch?

Hi. We have now inserted some HP 5130 EI (also HP 5700) switches in NAV and want to use PortAdmin. Everything works except saving to memory. The problem is the save command! For HP Procurve switches you use "save" or "write memory" commands to save changes and it's done. HP 5130 EI is a little bit different. There you must use "save force", if you only use "save" command you have to answer some questions. Can this be fixed? Regards Mattias

Cisco SG500+NAV

vlan and prefix in the seeddb

Hi, Is it possible to clean up the vlan list? There are some 'empty' entries there. Also in the prefix i do not see any entries and if i try to add a subnet mannually then it say's it allready exists. Those existing entries are shown up in the Vlan list, but i cannot use them in the IPAM tool Met vriendelijke groet, René Romijn

Announcement: NAV 4.6.1 released

The first maintenance release of the 4.6 series release of NAV is now out! The source code is available for download at GitHub [1]. A new package for Debian Jessie is published in our APT repository [2], as usual. The virtual appliance will be updated shortly. Changes ======= NAV has moved to GitHub. Issues are now tracked at [3]. Due to the migration of bug data from Launchpad, reporter and subscriber information has been lost (all bugs appear to be reported by jmbredal). If you have existing bug reports you still wish to keep an eye on, you can find the migrated issue by searching the Launchpad bug number in our GitHub issue tracker. Fixed issues in this release: * #320 (Error in IPAM function after upgrade to 4.6) * #321 (Graph widget modifies graph interval to 24 hours, no matter what the URL says) * #891 ("rooms with active alerts"-widget needs event filter) * #892 (cancelled maintenance tasks with no endtime are displayed) * #893 (Long log lines cause logging to stop for ipdevpoll processes in multiprocess mode) * #1022 (Some dropdowns not sorted in Alert Profiles) * #1024 (support external links in ups widget) * #1238 (choose columns in status widget) * #1425 (Using arrow keys to navigate when there is only a single dashboard moves to a 'undefined' dashboard, resulting in a 404 Not Found) * #1426 (Left/right arrow keys are captured globally on dashboards, making it impossible to make small edits to widget titles and such) * #1412 (multiple dashboards should be presented as tabs) Happy NAVing everyone! Hi Morten, First of all, you are right, I am now adding nav-users on copy. I have read the documentation http://graphite.readthedocs.io/en/latest/render_api.html#from-until, but as I am not so expert, it is a bit hard to understand. But I am trying again... In the meanwhile, could you please give me some more precise advice to write the correct code that will allow me to get the right graph ? Hi Cedric, it would normally be possible, but due to a bug [1], it won't be possible again until the next bugfix release (unless you manually apply the bugfix patch from [2]). The "normal" way of customizing your graph would be to alther the graph URL from the widget's edit panel. You'll want to look at the from/until arguments, as described in Graphite's own docs at [3]. Switching to GitHub

Hello all, As we will be involving more people from UNINETT in NAV development over the coming year, we have decided to spend some time on consolidating our workflow tools. In short, "we want to be using the same tools as other developers at UNINETT are using these days". This will have the following effects for NAV in the coming days and weeks: * We will switch from using Mercurial as our version control system, to using Git. * We will host our Git repository at GitHub, under the UNINETT organization [1]. * We will transfer existing bug reports from Launchpad into GitHub issues, then disable the Launchpad project. * The mirror repository at BitBucket will be removed. * The nav-debian package repository will also move from Bitbucket to GitHub. The most finicky part of this transition will be the migration of bug reports from Launchpad. GitHub only provides a rate-limited API to manipulate issues, which means migration of all reports may take days once started. Most likely, if you have reported or are otherwise subscribed to bug reports at Launchpad, you will have to re-subscribe at GitHub to continue to receive updates as bugs are worked on. Problem with adding services

NAV 4.6.0 The first input box in /seeddb/service/add/ says "Search for IP device". When I write more than 3 characters in the box it says "searching" and I get a spinning wheel of death and get no further. Is this a bug or am I missing a library or something? NAV API endpoint for useradmin

Hi all, I’m wondering if you also see a valid demand in having the useradmin interface as an API endpoint. We use „web_access“ privs a lot and it is always a pain if sth. changes for a given group (either in the set of switches we allow access to or in the networks we give privs to). We usually have to delete all the privs and put in the new ones. My question to you: do you have a better way to deal with this and if no would an exposure through the API help you with that? Brocade ICX 7750 Stack

Hi I have added 2x Brocade ICX 7750 router firmware , metric are reported, but ports information tab are void Maybe the device is unsupported ? Regards
