NAV with Cisco 3850

Hi, we have a 3850 Stack with 3x ES-C3850-48T-S and 5x WS-C3850-12X48U. When we try to PortAdmin and edit a Port we get (see also attached Jpg): „IP device found but has no type“ Any ideas? Internal Server Error: /graphite/render

Missing some uplinks

We updated our installation to 4.8.3 (Real Topology: some C2960 Cisco connected to a pair of Nexus) NetMap does not work properly (missing some uplinks). We edit IP Device info and, although NAV sees there links as unrecognized and after having added those unrecognized neighbors to NAV. Connections do not appear. Remote Name (as identified by NAV in unrecognized neighbors) is different from Sysname in the Seed Database (obtained from host file). Any suggestions? Is it better not to use host file? Does anyone work with Nexus? Best Regards, Cris

Auditlog not logging

Feedback about the new IP Device Info

Hi, We used the old layout in the function IP Device Info a lot in NAV and we are trying to get used with the new layout but here are some comments about it: * With the new layout with switches > 24 ports or 48 ports you have to scroll down to see the active/inactive ports, the old view give you on one page all the ports. * The 'last used' is stated 'Never' for uplinks, this is kinda confusing. * With the old layout you could use with the switch activity tab the history of some amount of days to check activity so you could see very fast wich ports arent used. Now you see the last date (except for the uplinks), but the older view was more easier. Curious about other people's oppinions. Kind Regards, René.

Announcement: NAV 4.8.3 released

The third maintenance release of the 4.8 series of NAV is now out! The source code is available for download at GitHub [1]. New packages for Debian 8/9 (Jessie/Stretch) are published in our APT repository [2], as usual. The virtual appliance will be updated shortly. Nav fails on login/creating new user from LDAP

Hello and happy new year! User is defined in LDAP and new to NAVdb. error.log:[...] [INFO] [pid=36224 nav.web.ldapauth] USER-drift is verified to be a member of cn=nav,cn=filegroups,cn=system, (removed) error.log:put_filter: "(member=uid=USER,cn=users,cn=system, (removed) )" Seems like the -drift is removed from the USER (it does appear with other users) ? There is no 'successfully logged in' in the log as with other users (with -drift). USER is not created in Account list. Topo doesn't work with Cisco VG350

Hello The Topo job does not work with Cisco VG350/K9 that I introduced in the GW category. I put the debugging and it remains blocked on the discovery of Vlan1. (see the log) I do not know if I'm missing MIBs or if it's a bug? Any ideas ? Thanks Biselx Nicolas
