vlanplot and relation "boks"

Hi there. Having troubles with vlanplot on Nav 3beta8. Since everything seems to be working, no updates have been done to the installation. But the vlanplot-interface show error "an error occured fetching data from server:" when accessing lokal lans. Example: h**ps://nav.ingok.hitos.no/vlanPlot/ , and doubleklick on "158.39.19.1". Havent found any "boks" relations in any of the .sql-files from nav. Any tips? Nav3-Beta9 not collecting data

Specifically, the OID tester did not work properly, and that is why this problem only manifested itself for new or re-added devices. Our release coordinator, Morten Vold, is in Oslo this week, but he is back on Monday and we hope to have a new beta 10 release out early next week with this (and a few others) problem sorted out. As mentioned in a previous email, NAV3b9 stopped collecting data after recreating and seeding the database. No swports, gwports, vlan, arp information are collected at all, as far as I can tell. Am I the only one with this problem ? I noticed some others had problem after they re-added devices. Thank you for helping out here, Kristian :) Restarted NAV with the new getDeviceData.jar, and it has been running for about three hours now. It still seems like NAV is having problems with collecting information about ports and modules. I tried to re-add some devices, for example a Catalyst 2980 GA (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.51) and a Catalyst 2948 G (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.42). Looked through some tables in the database, where I can find data from other switches, but I can't find any port/module information from those two. Cricket on the other hand collects Memory and SysUptime from them, but no statistics about the ports. Yes I'm experiencing this. I thought it was problems with the switch type... NAV Problem with 7206 and 6509

After upgrading to NAV 3.0 beta 9 I added a Cisco 7206 router to NAV and NAV doesn't detect any interfaces :( I also added a Cisco 6509 with supervisor card and NAV doesn't detect any router interfaces or switchports and it doesn't extract any vlan information Doesn't NAV 3.0 beta 9 support 7206 and 6509? if it does, what might the problem be? Hi. I'm still having problem with switches in the Cisco Catalyst 4000 family running Cat-Os. My models are 2948 and 2980. All modules and switchports are not detected by Nav. This worked in previous beta of Nav3, before beta 8 I think.... But in beta9 Nav are now able to get the vlan-id for the detected ports, which Nav couldn't in beta 8. Vlan are not detected for HP5308XL switches. This a layer 3 switch, but no routing interfaces are detected either, and yes they are present. Regards Odd Arne Hauge

We do encourage others to build binary packages for their favorite distribution, though. Upgrading from beta 8 ===================== The Java SNMP library now replaces WestHawk SNMP. Please remove your old WestHawk .jar file, download, compile and install Java SNMP 1.4 from http://edge.mcs.drexel.edu/GICL/people/sevy/snmp/snmp_package.html (or get binaries if available). Also, a few Cricket/makecricketconfig changes have taken place (as mentioned in the CHANGES file). The default configuration tree for Cricket needs to be reapplied from the new tarball (a few extra directories and files have been added). In the tarball, it is located at nav-3.0_beta9/subsystem/statTools/cricket/cricket-config/ - in the RPM installation it is found at /usr/local/nav/doc/cricket/cricket-config/ . You don't need to remove your existing generated Cricket config, just copy this files over the existing ones. Also, subtree-sets has been updated and must be overwritten. In the tarball you'll find it as nav-3.0_beta9/subsystem/statTools/cricket/cricket/subtree-sets, in the RPM it is found as /usr/local/nav/doc/cricket/cricket/subtree-sets Rerun makecricketconfig.pl after these changes.
