Your immediate fix is to do the following as root: touch /usr/local/nav/lib/python/nav/snmptrapd/__init__.py which will make Python actually recognize nav.snmptrapd as a proper Python package. The reason I was unable to reproduce the problem on my end was that I assumed this occurred when you started the daemon, but it seems it actually occurs every time a trap is received (and I had nothing configured to send traps to my daemon). The problem being that snmptrapd imports the handler modules every time it receives a trap, and not just once at the start of the process (which I think it should). I had a chat with Arne, one of the original developers of the alert system (since I haven't touched PHP in many years now), as we tried to upgrade to PHP5. He suggested that these errors had been present all along, but that previous php versions suppressed them by default. I think he based this on the fact that whatever error messages Alert Profiles spat at us under PHP5, anything we did in the Alert Profiles interface would still work as before. Ranked Statistics: 12334963.32 percent

12334963.32 percent is a nice number if you talk about increase in wages, but not if you talk about mortgage rates or CPU load. Something is wrong with our "Ranked Statistics". Top 20 CPU Routers show 6 boxes with impossible values, but if i click on the "Target"-link, the graph shows normal values (but not high enough to put it into Top 20). The rest of the boxes show normal values. The other views shows just as erroneous behaviour. "Services - graphical view" - not so graphical

Well, subject says it all: /browse/service/allMatrix looks terrible and not at all graphical. I see this both on our 3.3.0 installation and on tromso-vk.uit.no which runs r4194. Please fix? --Ingeborg

Pilot installation and some problems

Dear all, I have installed Network Administration Visualized 3.3.0 on Debian Etch. I have installed NAV through aptitude. I'm very impressed with the amount of work and thought that have gone into this software package. However, i do have several problems. I can not see any informastion in the section called "Port View" when i click on a device in Home > Report > Devices in Operation Could this be some snmpproblem? I installed net-snmp and could do a snmpwalk against the device. Also serveral devices report Availability like this one: Availability -4.1e+180% -5.1e+175% -3.8e+166% (day / week / month) Could this be snmpversion troubles? When i try click on the Traffic Map, all i get is a new page showing a java aplet that just show the java logo. I have tried this with both firefox and IE. The only way to exit is to kill the browser process. Could this be a java version problem. getDeviceData.log is zero size. /var/log/nav/getDeviceData/getDeviceData-stdout.log is also zero. The University of Troms? is still alive and kicking, but we have been somewhat busy with other issues with NAV 3.3.0 We have now began to go through the service-monitor in ver 3.3.0 and already found a couple of issues.
