I added a device to the database but it did not appear on the Netmap. Is there any rule for a device to show on Netmap graphic ?
Nodes that have no known links are not shown by default, since Netmap is a link-centric view (after all, how can you have a topological network _map_ if you don't know where things are?).
You can toggle "Display isolated nodes" in the view options if you want to see linkless nodes.
I have 6 switches not reporting to NAV. I would like to see on Netmap a different icon indicating they are offline but Netmap does not change their icons to red or any other status. They all look "normal", Is it correct ?
The Netmap is not a box status indicator, true. What you are asking for is described in https://github.com/UNINETT/nav/issues/1141 - but we recently closed that issue as a "wontfix" issue, since no-one has voiced an opinion on the matter. You're welcome to add your comments to the issue :-)
