Hi Morten,
do you know if support for CISCO CBS (CBS350 / CBS250) switches is on the roadmap?
Hi Davide. Unfortunately, we have nothing on our roadmap for these.
They are different from switches supported by NAV so, portadmin don't works well for example. Also VLAN detection on ports is very difficult, you need to configure interface with several command instead of only one simple command "switch port access vlan 2". Otherwise NAV don't recognize vlan port configuration.
If I remember correctly from previous discussions on nav-users, these switches present themselves as Cisco switches (using the Cisco enterprise number 9), but it appears they don't actually support the usual private Cisco MIBs that NAV employs when it identifies a Cisco switch. They seem to support an entirely new set of private MIBs (prefixed as CISCOSB-* rather than CISCO-)
It's really hard for our team to make any meaningful progress on supporting CBS switches without access to any such devices to test on.
The best I could do at this point is to ask you send me (not the list) a full snmpwalk (from the `.1` OID) output for one of these devices. When I have some time, I could at least attempt to analyze the output to see if I can make sense of it.
