Everything is going well except for one point. When I open the Netmap module, I can see a graphic representation of all devices on the page, however the lines connecting the devices are all green even if the device is reporting down. (If I click on it there is a red icon on the top right side of the window).
My question is, what is the criteria to change the graphic representation to red ? E.g. If the device is not reporting SNMP but it is replying ping, should the status be green ?
The color of the lines do not indicate device status, they indicate the general traffic level on the link. As the colored legend bar below the map indicates, green is generally interpreted as less than 30-40% of the link's capacity is being used (while a grey line indicates that NAV is missing recent traffic data from the link).
