Werner, this seems to have changed - this used to be correctly configured in previous versions of the Debian package. I've installed 2+3.8.1 from scratch on a clean machine now, and can confirm what is being referred here.

I hope this is fixed in the new 3.8.2 package which will soon be available on Alioth.
