Hello,
I'm Toni Syv?nen and I'm trying to set NAV to monitor a student house
network.
So far so good. But it seems that getDeviceData isn't working as it should.
Database seems to be missing most of the switch ports. They are listed
in getDeviceData's logs, but not in the database.
When I checked the logs I found this:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1007
at
no.ntnu.nav.getDeviceData.dataplugins.Swport.Swport.getVlanAllowHexString(Swport.java:229)
at
no.ntnu.nav.getDeviceData.dataplugins.Swport.Swport.getHexstring(Swport.java:201)
at
no.ntnu.nav.getDeviceData.dataplugins.Swport.SwportHandler.handleData(SwportHandler.java:305)
at DataContainersImpl.callDataHandlers(DataContainersImpl.java:63)
at QueryNetbox.run(QueryNetbox.java:792)
The switch is HP Procurve 2650 and NAV seems to detect it but fails to
get all the information.
Also I noticed that the database has list of vlan's but those are not
listed in the Report-page.
Hopefully we can get this fixed soon.
Greetz,
Toni "ToM" Syv?nen

It seems like there is a redundant config-entry for this interface. If
you check the config-file for router-interfaces/device.uio.no, I would
suspect that you find either duplicates or an erroneous config of some
kind. I can't say anymore until I get more details.

Cricket needs unique target-names, because that is what it uses to make
rrd-filenames. As we see here, the two target-names are equal, and
Cricket then tries to update the same rrd-file. The reason, I guess, is
that the ifDesc oid returns the same interface-description for those two
interfaces. We have experienced that before, and unfortunately there is
no easy fix at the moment.

Of course, the problem was more complicated than that. Looks like the
actual problem was in the event engine - I believe I've fixed it on
trunk now :)
