This will resolve the issue for *nix systems, but not for Windows. You will not be able to run a snmp daemon on a Windows host and make it give sensible data in the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB (or any other MIB).
To monitor disk/cpu/memory etc on a Windows host you need a tool that installs a local daemon that pushes data. NAV is not your tool in this case.
