Hi,
if you upgrade to recent versions on your cisco infrastructure and have a distributed setup of admins using NAV/snmp to tell the device what to do, you will lose all your configuration as soon as your device reboots as the changes you made are not written into the running-config! So heads up and be warned.

adding port to vlan via SNMP not in running-config on cat4k IOSXE CSCuu48624 Description Symptom: Adding port to a vlan does not update running-configuration with "switchport access vlan X" command, hence after reload port would go back to VLAN 1 (default).
Conditions: 03.07.00 or 03.07.01 software version catalyst 3k/4k assign port to a vlan via SNMP (snmpset -v2c -c test 10.106.69.151 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.2.6 i 255)
Workaround: assign port to a VLAN manually through CLI via "switchport access vlan X" command
Further Problem Description: When assigning VLAN to the access port on the switch using setSNMP (snmpset -v2c -c test 10.106.69.151 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.2.6 i 255) port does not get any configuration in show running-config interface output.
