Box being polled for tempInlet

We have a cat356048G which gets 'cricket-configed' to have a tempInlet, but Cricket complains with 11-Jul-2005 15:30:05*] Received SNMP response with error code noSuchName. OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1 every five minutes. >From what I understand, getdevicedata asks the box for known OIDs which are then added to the cricket-config if the oid exist? This might be a guess, but try editing the file /usr/local/nav/lib/python/nav/web/__init__.py Now cut out the line "import nav.web.auth" and paste it again inside "def headerparserhandler" right above the line "import state". i sent an email on the mailing list yesterday with an error. Seems someone has had the error before, but it's in Norweigan. I Routers will only show up in the traffic map once the links between them have been discovered. This process should be automatic with no extra configuration required as long as the NAV background processes are running (the getDeviceData process does the actual data collection). If you go to the 'Report' tool and select the 'Prefix' report, are your VLANs listed? Links between routers should be of nettype 'link' and the number of router ports ('antgw' column) should be 2. -- Kristian

Python encoding problem

I installed and configured everything. When I run "/usr/local/nav/bin/nav start" it compains about the encoding on line 2 of the file. /SyntaxError: no codec search functions registered: can't find encoding" /Any help will be appreciated. The package gpg-pubkey-b481ca4d listed in the installation-guide is not part of the SLES9. I think the package that is ment is the "suse-build-key". But my problem now is that I have a nav3rc1 running on SLES, and everything "seems" to be running except web-interface and Alertengine. I have used the SuSE rpm package. And is trying to find whats wrong with the apache-config. I have tried to look at the http://svn.nav.ntnu.no/nav/navme/trunk/doc/apache/httpd2.conf.example But the apache-structer is totaly different from my debian-nav3-beta10 installation.
