I certainly can't promise anything myself, but most Full support for Foundry would involve finding the right OIDs for collecting info about duplex / vlan / trunk status for the ports. It would then be easy to add such support. Even without this we should be able to get Cricket to collect info though. -- Kristian

vlanPlot - Looks very messy

Hi, I have entered a few routers and switches for testing. The vlanPlot gets all the links between them, but the view (http://www.iwu.edu/~acm/nav/vlanplot1.png) is rather ugly as compared to what you people have in the wiki (http://metanav.ntnu.no/moin.cgi/NAVScreenShots). I know that a lot of software allow you to drag devices in the traffic map to get a nicer view. Is that possible in NAV or is there some other way to get a view like you have in the wiki? Secondly, as you can see in the above screenshot and in this (http://www.iwu.edu/~acm/nav/vlanplot2.png), the devices are labelled by their ip address. Is it possible to display their SNMP Names instead of the IP address, since with many devices it will be difficult to keep track of the IPs. Ofcourse, one solution would be to assign DNS to the devices but I was wondering if the SNMP names are possible (perhaps by some simple change to the applet code?). They are: All the info you gave me looks good and at least ports 1-7 and 24 (uplink I assume) should show up. Can you grep the getDeviceData.log file for 'dbfesx424-uunet3.be.weather.com' and give me the output, as well as any messages in the getDeviceData-stderr.log file? Hopefully this will give an indication on why the ports are not showing up. -- Kristian

[Nav-users] postgresql will not allow connections from software after ip-change

Hi, postgresql will not allow connections from software/script after ip-change, I cannot figure out why. If I manually connect to postgresql it works fine.
