Looks like NAV's nav.Snmp module hasn't been fully imported because pysnmp is missing, and this might be why you are seeing both these messages. Did you install pysnmp, as the SLES guide you pointed to says? Cc: to John-Magne, who might be able to answer your question. To manually recompile your cricket tree, you should be the navcron user. If you followed the RHEL4 guide closely, then your cricket installation's compile script should be located as /usr/local/nav/cricket/cricket/compile . NAV has several backend Java processes, but it doesn't spawn new Java processes as a result of adding any servers or other IP devices from the web interface. To find out which process you are referring to, you must provide the arguments of the process, as only those will tell us exactly which NAV program is running.
