PortAdmin - save changes in HP 5130 switch?

Hi. We have now inserted some HP 5130 EI (also HP 5700) switches in NAV and want to use PortAdmin. Everything works except saving to memory. The problem is the save command! For HP Procurve switches you use "save" or "write memory" commands to save changes and it's done. HP 5130 EI is a little bit different. There you must use "save force", if you only use "save" command you have to answer some questions. Can this be fixed? Regards Mattias

Announcement: NAV 4.4.3 released

The third maintenance release of the NAV 4.4 series is now out. The source code is available for download at Launchpad [1]. New packages for Debian Wheezy and Jessie have been published in our APT repository [2] as usual (and the virtual appliance is being updated). Portadmin - Problem with changing Vlan

Hi. For a couple of week ago we could change Vlan in portadmin and save with our HP 5130 switches. But now with Nav 4.4.2 it only show error when saving. It says: Error setting vlan: SNMP Error: inconsistentValue (The set value is illegal or unsupported in some way). What can be the problem? There is error when we try to check connectivity for snmp for one of the switches via SeedDB also. That's because there's something wrong with Chassis detected. It got two Chassis detected and one is down. I have tried to delete the switch and added it again, but the N/A chassis is appearing after a while again! 5130-EI (serial: XXXXXXX, software: 7.1.045 Release 3109P05) <---- Down N/A (serial: N/A, software: 7.1.045) <--- Don't know where this comes from Regards Mattias

No. You should probably look into RANCID [1]. There was at some point some ideas to integrate RANCID and NAV, but the resources were never allocated. At UNINETT we extensively use tftp to store device configs, but storing a running config to the tftp serverr must be initiated from the device itself. RANCID is more proactive in this regard. NAV randomly looses VLAN configuration

Hello out there. I'm quite new to NAV, however we already have it in our production env and it works great! Recently we've fund some strange issue - vlan configuration in seed db just disappears and we have to re-configureit again. Can anyone please give me a direction where to start investigating this issu? Any help will be appreciated!

syslog integration for procurve

Is there a way to get procurve syslogs to come into Nav? I think that is the only issue I have and it would be great to alert on them.
