Alert profiles

I can't get NAV to send alerts when IP devices is down, neither e-mail nor sms alert. I have added G01: All alerts for the profile, I am allowed to receive SMS in my account. Gammu is also installed. What am I doing wrong? I also tried adding my own filter group with different filter alerts, but nothing worked. Regards, Lene Maria Myhre Wireless Trondheim

I am getting this error when I look at any port statistics in IP device Center. I am running NAV 3.4.4 on Debian. Can't get bulk import to work

Hi, I have been trying adding all my IP devices with bulk import and got "green light" on all devices. But when I tried to import, I got an error message. I then tried the same prosedure again, but this time I got "red light" on all devices, even though the list was the same. I then tried adding one of the devices manually, but I got "IP already exists in database". I can't see the new IP devices in my list. Cricket Tree needs to be recompiled

I keep getting "Cricket Tree needs to be recompiled" when I try and run statistics. I have tried running /usr/bin/cricket-compile. It always comes back with "Couldn't apply preserved file mode to /etc/nav/cricket-config/config.db.new". I am running this on NAV 3.4.4. Any Ideas? Adding wireless access points to IP devices

Hi, We are new to NAV and have a couple of questions regarding adding new IP devices. We are trying to add our Cisco 1242 and 1131 access points, and I can see that they are already added in the "Type" list. But we are using Lightweight AP's that does not have SNMP, so I do not have a RO community. How do I best add the access points then? Is it possible to use "WLAN" as device, or do I have to add it under "Other"? Also, adding IP devices, is it possible to have another name for them than … [View More]

Status page fails after bulk import

After bulk importing 100 GSW devices with the same amount of locations ,also bulk imported, the status page failes. All other tools seems to be working. Possible bug in Syslog Analyzer

After installing a clean Nav on Debian with the Debian packages, i have discoverd that the table with origins only display ip-adresses and not the hostname. This is purly cosmetic, but NAV both IP Info Center and IP Device Info (beta) recoqnizes both the ip-adress and the hostname. I even tried to add an entry in the /etc/hostfile and that did not help. -- Rikard
