Fra: Ramon Robinson rrobinson@ala.org Sendt: fredag 11. september 2020 07:44 Til: Anne Kristin Munkebyaune anne.munkebyaune@unit.no Emne: Renewals due - RDA Toolkit accounts for BIBSYS
Hi Anne, I noticed that the BIBSYS consortium has RDA Toolkit subscriptions up for renewal in the immediate future. If you’ll just let me know which institutions will be renewing and subscribing for the first time within the next month, and the number of users at each institution, I can provide you with a price quote and invoice[s] shortly thereafter.
As your institutions consider RDA Toolkit renewal and new subscriptions, I also wanted to fully apprise you of what they can expect going forward. In December of this year, the beta version of RDA Toolkit will become the authorized versionhttps://www.rdatoolkit.org/node/202 – with content and functionality fine-tuned for their user experiences.
Their RDA Toolkit subscriptions will continue to address a wide array of cataloguing needs through its many benefits, including the ability to:
* access both the current version and beta versions for the entirety of their subscription years * read policy statements from international libraries, including the Library of Congress, British Library, and Deutsche Nationalbibliothek * create bookmarks, notes, and documents that can be private or shared * access MARC-RDA mappings * set toolkit preferences for individuals or institutions * search and browse instructions in numerous languages including Catalan, English, French, Finnish, German, Italian, Norwegian and Spanish, with Arabic and Hungarian languages to come * view procedurals and other documentation produced by other subscribers
Learning resourceshttps://www.rdatoolkit.org/training, including our YouTube channel with instructional videoshttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd5pa3AoQIr17wESE9YHcnw and the RDA Lab Serieshttps://www.alastore.ala.org/content/rda-lab-series, are available to help guide them and their teams through this transition to the new version of RDA Toolkit. If they’re unable to find answers to their questions using those resources and our FAQhttps://www.rdatoolkit.org/faq, we’re more than happy to assist them in navigating the RDA Toolkit interface during normal business hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM CDT. They can just e-mail any remaining questions to rdatoolkit@ala.orgmailto:rdatoolkit@ala.org.
Please feel welcomed to share the above subscription benefits with any BIBSYS consortium institutions that may be interested in subscribing to RDA Toolkit.
